How do you feel about this movie? It seems to be polarizing.

I've heard some really bad things. But then I also heard some really awful things about Son of God (which did omit some things that they shouldn't have, but nowhere near as blasphemous as I'd been told)

I'm mainly withholding my own judgement until I've had a chance to see it for myself.

I don't want to see it; b/c I can't stand Russell Crowe as an actor. I have no desire to sit and watch him for about 2 hours in a lead role. And there are other movies I would rather see instead of Noah. It's just not at the top of my list and it has nothing to do with theological reasons or deeply held beliefs.

If I see it (when it's released to DVD and Netflix), then I'm not worried about how accurate it is. I notice that now every time a tv show or movie are done about a biblical story, there's controversy about the accuracy. Was that the case with Charlton Heston's The Ten Commandments (which I used to see on tv every year) or other biblical movies decades ago?

I'm with Wren. I will watch it when it comes out on DVD. I'll probably watch Son of God on DVD or Netflix as well.

I probably won't watch either Son of God or Noah. They just don't look appealing to me.

Now, the Exodus film with Christian Bale....Now that might be interesting. I feel like Christian Bale is a much better actor than Russel Crowe or Diogo Morgado.

There's an Exodus film coming out? Interesting.

So just throwing this out there. According to this guy, the Noah film is actually based on Gnostic/Kabbalistic theology rather than Scripture. Which would account for why it doesn't follow the Biblical account.

It does intrigue the heresy hunter within me. In curious if what he says is true or not.

Ken Ham's view on it. I will not be seeing this movie.

I find it sad that they lied about it being true to the source at one point.
